Legislators have always suffered from a knowledge gap when it comes to technologies. 3D printers aren't even a new thing, its only now that it's become really accessible that these over zealous types are shidding and farding over the potential criminal (or more realistically - the White guy who just wanted to be left alone) from being able to build his own weapon.
