@BowsacNoodle @UnityOstara @satsuki @Homosoypiens Yeah, if they attacked Indonesia and it didn't trigger a war declaration from the US, they could have a much MUCH higher chance of winning. Like, they didn't even actually need to take over China for anything, just taking over Manchuria and east Russia was enough "expansion" for decades, more than enough land to send excess population if that is what they wanted (what most wars are about). It is baffling to me how supposedly smart people make the same historical mistake, mostly, probably, because of ego.
