I have a similar little speech I give about the assorted educations of great developers I’ve worked with — and the punchline is that one of the best graphic designers I’ve ever worked with had a computer science degree.

Majors are just a way to organize an education. Not careers, not identities, not brain types, not really even specific subsets of education.
