I have seen plenty of dog turds. This is my favorite sign ever; a little down the way from Savoy, which is on Valley Blvd a little bit east of Garfield in Alhambra. Savoy has no parking but it's like, on the corner and then it's all residential and so you park down the little street and apparently someone was in some lengthy passive-aggressive battle with someone else whose dog kept shitting in their yard.
(I wonder if Savoy's still open. It was a place where, like, they had about a hundred things on the menu, but the menu was largely fictitious: you walk in, you see the people at the tables, the only thing anyone orders there is Hai Nam chicken rice, because that is the only thing they know how to cook and it's excellent. I sent a friend there and he came back and told me the place was fucking terrible; I was incredulous and it turns out he'd ordered the duck pizza and he said it was terrible. I didn't know that it was on the menu because I'd never read the menu. No one reads the menu there. You just get your chicken rice, maybe you get a coffee or a creme brulee or something, but you don't go there and order something that isn't the chicken rice. Anyone that reads this and is in the area and is capable of driving past The Hat at Garfield and Valley and also El Ranchero at Garfield and Mission and that then ends up at Savoy, for the love of God please make sure you look at the other people in the place, which is always packed, and every single person ordered the same thing and that is the sort of thing you should pay attention to, fuck's sake, get the fucking chicken rice or keep rolling to the next place.)
