trying to rank Sins makes us fall into the Trap of excusing "Lesser Sin" and then indulging in it.

there isn't going to be a situation where God lets an Adulterer walk free but a Sodomite gets punishment, both will Burn.

we all have our own Challenges to deal with when fighting Sin, i am a pervert, and me indulging in it doesn't make me any less Sinful when my Perversion is more "natural" then the perversion of Sodomites.

if a gay man showed up to you, said he wants to quit sodomy forever, never participate in it again and go live life of Chastity from then on and go to Church, will you tell him to bugger off?

i know this kind of thinking is used against Christians often, but i want to point out that we don't get to dismiss Doctrine because it would benefit the enemy, we have to understand it and we have discern it.
