how are you responding to my posts? it doesn't look like you're using the "reply" feature, because they appear as so-called subtoots rather than as part of the same thread.

I'm asking because the other day someone complained that mastodon didn't support threads (long posts broken into multiple followups to the same post), and I thought maybe it was just that people didn't use the feature, because I know it's there. now I wonder if there's something in the interface that leads people away from using it, or whether you're intentionally avoiding followups, or something. I'm not familiar with the mastodon interface myself. thanks,
