@Fragglemuppet Rice porridge originated in India and is found by different names across South and East Asia. It's a wonderful, versatile food. It's also easy to make and a forgiving dish.
I make mine now with 1 cup jasmine rice, 1/4 cup glutinous rice, and 10 cups of water, in an instant pot, so I can set it and walk away. I add other ingredients to cook in or later as toppings, as the mood strikes me.
It's an absolute pillar of my winter diet. I warmly recommend it.
