I'm baffled by peoples' reliance on the cloud, but then again I'm not a normie. All I need is an external hard drive, maybe an extra local backup or two and I'm good. It's also worth pointing out if you put that there you're effectively ceding control of your files and content to the people on the other end.

Unless Microsoft has some super villain-esque plans with the cloud that I don't know about. I've just never had the same problems people complain about but then again I'm somebody who was on MS-DOS back in the day.

The way I've done it is I've setup a local account on Windows 11 ( Which is annoying ) and then I have external drive backups, never had problems. It's still easier to do work arounds for Microsoft shit than deal with Linux.
