Let me spell it out cleanly:
I'm not wishing for payment processors to deplatform people I disagree with. I'm actively pushing back against payment processors being used to punish people like me over legal content, just because of moral panic.
My point was about cause and consequence. If someone supports or enables financial censorship or any other form of censorship based on lies or misrepresentation, like calling legal loli content "child porn", or through bad moral boundaries, and that leads to real harm, deplatforming, lost income, legal trouble, etc. then they are part of the problem. They helped start that fire, so no, I won't shed a tear if they get burned by it too. And yeah, I might pour gasoline on it out of spite.
That is not a call for censorship. It is a statement of retaliation when the people who supported censorship suddenly find themselves on the receiving end. If you're fine with weaponizing payment processors against people like me, if you're okay taking away my ability to enjoy what I love and censoring us out of existence, then don't cry foul when people stop caring about what you love and go out of their way to hurt you as a consequence.
This isn't ideal and I've said I wouldn't want it to come to that, but it's the natural outcome of letting your moral panic run wild. You don't get to be anti-loli and then act surprised when the same tools you use to shit all over it are used against you. First it's loli, then it's hate speech, then it's sites with "bad vibes" or not enough moderation. The slope isn't slippery, it's greased on purpose by people like mint or the shortstack fags.
