They only last a certain amount of time before you need to re up, which is why they make you get X number of shots every Y weeks. Immunoglobulin shots are legit; it is raw antibodies that are like short term kill on site grenades for whatever it's targeting. It's what your body makes a bunch of when you're sick, and they slowly are broken down over time. They're starting to use it more for stuff like RSV in newborns (I recommend this) because it's the same type of stuff as what's in colostrum and breast milk for immune system boost. Vaccines as a whole are a loaded topic, but some stuff like antibody shots are seriously hard to argue against.
