@Someguy @Roscoe @BowsacNoodle @pepsi_man I get that’s a clear and present problem with much that calls itself “Christianity” in today’s world; I believe however those are deviations from the original pattern. Every member of every Church, must necessarily be a loyal subject of whatever kingdom or state he finds himself in, or else a respectful guest of the host, for a while, in accordance with the Law of the lands he finds himself in. The State must serve the political interest of its subjects; else it’s become evil. Similarly, every Church must serve the spiritual interests of her communicants and catechumens, or else she has turned evil. Obviously, history is rife with counterexamples; this does not obviate the need for either’s existence.
