     @nyx I was writing about the Linux foundation, which handles the proprietary version of the kernel, Linux (while also using macbooks and macos in the proprietary software meetings).
     Linux was proprietary software from the very start (although free for a short while), so it wasn't exactly "subverted".
     
     Meanwhile GNU Linux-libre hasn't been subverted by corporations, as there's no proprietary software in it.
     Corporations have tried to subvert GNU for years, but they have and they will forevermore fail.

     He's at least partially correct, the reason why Linux was subverted was simply because Linus isn't a libre software advocate by any stretch of imagination, he doesn't give a shit.
     
     The name "GNU+Linux" was partly made to distance GNU from Linux, not to appropriate Linux. Unlike calling it "GNU" or "Linux."

     The solution to that is to simply not have a Rust compiler installed - thus whatever Rust won't even be used.
     
     Additional patches are welcome to remove the Rust.
