     Honestly the ideal fediverse app has the offline resilience of @AndStatus, the flexibility and configurability of @SubwayTooter and the polish of @apps.

     I can use Andstatus in places that don't get cell or wifi, or flat out in airplane mode, but it doesn't do polls or long posts very well. Subway Tooter is very flexible with tools to cover just about any way you might want to work with a post, but doesn't work offline. Fedilab looks good but sometimes too simple and doesn't work offline.

     @lawremipsum Also, I really hope #MastoDev and #FediDev start having some real conversations about clients and frontends that can handle with loss of connectivity or slowness in some way other than "give up immediately". Like, if I'm installing an app on my device for an asynchronous medium like a SNS, then it better work offline or with a bad connection at least as well as my email client.

     When the server slows down because a lot of new signups or whatever, consider it your natural organic prompt to touch snow instead for a while
