If you don't want to be tracked when visiting links, just turn on that feature with #Fedilab.
It will automatically remove tracking parameters in URLs for you.
Settings > Privacy > Remove UTM parameters.

Sure. But you have found some #privacy enhancements. I think those should be activated by default. I don't think that an app should by default broadcast anything to another app (my browser) or send it on.
