I wonder what causes highly intelligent people to act so incredibly dumb. Is there like a drop off point after some time, that you have used all your intelligence points and you need to start recovering them by putting out dumb stuff?
@rickmans "Highly intelligent" people often don't exactly know why their previous decisions were smart. It's often only a matter of time before they bite more than they can chew, propelled to it by their baseless overconfidence in their own abilities, safe in their sycophant bubble.
@rickmans Generally speaking yes. We vastly underestimate the impact emotion has on our decision making. (After 30 years In software engineering, I now do a lot of leadership development for technology companies. A lot of what I help people with is changing how they behave in the face of emotions they experience.)
