     do you not qualify for EBT money to help with food at least?
     how is it that you have a job but have had to donate plasma up to now to survive?.. how much are your rent and bills costing you?..

     try applying for EBT for your state (wait, which country do you live in)..
     if you aren’t making very much money from job then they should be able to give you some food money every month..
     if they say you are making too much money to get any EBT benefits then the next question is where is all of your money going

It's $80 per year, but I can tell you I've saved hundreds if not thousands of dollars using it. Yes I'm a pleb because I could use a free spreadsheet but I'm too high time preference for that, @elftummy forgive me for being a financial nigger.

     Budgeting software is pretty good for the layman
     Before I hired a CPA, I used Google sheets so I could access it anywhere and add expenses as they came up because I'm the kinda guy who, if I don't do something right away it may be forgotten

     @elftummy @FF777 @mushroom_soup YNAB has a mobile app too so it works for that purpose. Thing is though the method they use is proactive; the idea is to allocate the money you have into spending buckets *before* you spend it. This does two things: 1. Actually tracks where every penny goes in each category 2. Forces me to prioritize what I actually *need* vs what I *want*
     
     It also has charts for income vs expenses, total spending over the year by category, and net worth. Oh yeah and you automatically link your bank account so you don't have to manually import transactions.

     Dave Ramsey is a little cooky, a little jewy, but he does a pretty good job at helping most people with poor budgeting skills get onto a budget
     He does the same thing but one thing he does a little different is the "envelope method" where you mark different envelopes for different expenses and then put cash in them at every pay day to keep a better eye on what you're spending
     Obviously you can tell he's a disgusting Boomer because almost no bills today can be paid in cash like that

     @elftummy @FF777 @mushroom_soup Yes, YNAB is exactly that method but electronic and easier to use. I agree about Ramsey too, he's a kook and I don't like him but it's undeniable that his method works for those in a lot of debt/bad with money.
