@graf @ColdOnesLite Yeah thats why Poast (and other fedi instances) are better than Gab, hell, Twitter and some other mainline social media sites are better than Gab because at least they have transparency rules that requires them to tell you when a federal agency is requesting their data, Gab just sends that info without even being presented with a warrant. Imagine larping as a dissident and then rolling over and showing your disgusting overweight belly to the feds like Turbo retard does on a daily basis.

@graf @ColdOnesLite Torba reported Tyler Dinsmoor to the feds, its obvious now, if Tyler was on Twitter and the feds requested his data Twitter would have emailed him and at least allowed him to get a lawyer ready for when the fuzz came knocking on his door. Not Torba though, that coward didn't even have the decency of deleting the guys account so it couldn't be scraped, no he just let a bunch of cops point guns at a young White family and probably didn't lose any sleep over it.

@Shadowman311 @ColdOnesLite we had a request from the british counter-terrorism taskforce to remove something you poasted that we did because it did violate our rules. if that was different and it had not violated our rules we would have pushed back and in a situation where we are presented with a request we will evaluate our options legally and push back to the extent that we can. that was always the plan for us

@graf @ColdOnesLite That synagogue shooting scared Torba to the point that he now just hands over user data without even being asked to do so. Unless you're esoteric enough to where your post goes over his head and his 90 IQ then you're going to get reported to the feds, even if the feds don't find enough to harass you or arrest you. I'd imagine that he probably reports at least a dozen accounts to the feds a week.

The feds are teeing up some easy home runs for constitutional challenges and the failure of guys like Torba to even swing should subject them to civil liability from the user side.
Even if the black-letter law says "dox required," any provider can stand on muh Constitution. Make the feds argue that the magic paper is fake and gay and make SCROTUS eat that shit sandwich publicly.
