    A single-celled parasite Toxoplasma is called the “mind control” parasite. It can infect the brains of mammals. It makes rodents fearless and bold. In wolves, individuals carrying this parasite often become pack leaders. In humans, it is known that the parasite only causes cold-like symptoms so far.

    トキソプラズマという単細胞の寄生虫は哺乳類によくつくが、げっ歯類だと脳に寄生して恐怖心をなくし行動を大胆にさせるという。狼でもこの寄生虫を宿した個体は群れのリーダーになることが多いらしい。人間だと風邪様症状が出る程度だと少なくとも言われてるが

      Did you see the study article about toxoplasmosis infections in entrepreneurs? That loss of fear clearly effects human mammals too!

      性的な魅力が増す(ホルモンのせい?)
      みたいな説も出てますね。
      ソースは忘れましたが、
      南米の貧困層出身のスポーツ選手(主にサッカー)は
      トキソプラズマを持っている率が高く、
      そのためパフォーマンスが良くなる、
      という話を、昔テレビでやってました。
      寄生虫=有害だと思いきや、
      メリットがある場合、治療したくないと
      思ったりするのでしょうか。

      @Hitomi_etc へー、かなり知られまた注目されてたことだったんですね。人でもこの虫の保有率が異様に高いのが気になるところですね。ウェーイ系(死語?)みたいな人らは保有してたりするんでしょうかね。興味深いです
