Brazilian leftists seem to be going through a crisis due to the election result.

I thought Brazil had decided it was gonna be leftist forever like Venezuela. They even have that supreme court guy who some claim wields actual power behind the president. I wonder if Bolsonaro Jr will have to deal with him overturning every attempt he makes at reducing leftist influence.

@The_Vampire_Brigade Yeah, would be great to see more of that, but most people with something to lose don't want to throw their lives away for what's ultimately nothing in the short term. That's why we get so few Luigis, Breiviks or Tarrants. :luigi_gun2:

And those are just the ones competent enough to pull it off. Imagine how many are shot or arrested by police for chimping out before they can do anything.

@The_Vampire_Brigade I'll take the L on this: I used to believe in accelerationism.

"Surely the masses will wake up once things go to shit". :clueless:

But no. That's why they are the masses. Best you can get is the French or Bolshevik revolutions. Rarely a Hitler.

Milei is a step in the right direction. The other side has no win condition. It's a race to the bottom and it's a bottomless pit like Venezuela or your average African hellhole.

Good on Brazucas if they manage to get rid of Lula. Who was also financing our own leftists. It's all downhill with these types.

@Rasterman @The_Vampire_Brigade speaking of Milei, I was reading somewhere that after all the reforms that made things look worse and waw used as ammo by leftists for saying a right wing government would be disastrous, this is the first time in 20 years that Argentine economy grows for the third year in a row. So reforms may suck in the beginning, but they work.

Honestly, I hope Bolsonaro and the right wing congress turns out to be half as evil and vengeful and reform pushing as the leftists here are doomsaying. My fear is that he will be a faggot like his dad, be a pushover and do nothing for 4 years.

@Suzu @The_Vampire_Brigade Yeah, the thing is maintaining this kind of government in the long term so the benefits keep coming and not gift it to the left who'll waste the surplus on gibs for their voter base.

In 2015 we got president Macri who was seen as the right wing candidate to end the left but turned out to be a no-balls loser who let the left steamroll him.

Milei was the evolution who actually got things done. Hopefully Bolsonaro Jr has learned from what happened with his father and doesn't squander the opportunity.

@Suzu Based. Bukele proved that, if you can get rid of activist judges, then maybe you can start really fixing the underlying problems in your country.

The SC suddenly approving the right's requests does sound like they might be a tad worried. :00130:

@Rasterman oh, the Right wants that judge's head.

In Brazil, Senate can impeach SC judges. You need a vast majority (51 votes out of the 80 senators) to do it, but after the elections there are 49 senators who are openly favorable to impeaching him already (or, at least, that voiced support for the impeachment during the electoral campaign, you can never know if some of these faggots will turn coats after being elected).

It seems the SC is so scared that a lot of processes and decisions that the Right was demanding from them miraculously started flowing from the SC drawers, after years being in a limbo.

There are also talks about Bolsonaro doing some changes in the Constitution that will diminish the SC power, and avoid a single judge doing all the shit this judge did.

Wait, is Brazil deciding to be based? I'm completely out of the loop on this one. If leftists are spiralling about something I'm always intrigued.

@lethn They had elections. Bolsonaro's son won by a tiny margin. There'll be ballottage. Brazilian leftists were having a psychotic breakdown before the election, talking about an imminent USA invasion. :guido_hand:

They claim ballottage will favour Bolsonaro because every other party besides his and Lula's that got any votes were right wing parties and are expected to support Bolsonaro. Plus Lula might be running out of senators and mayors across the country.

Just what I hear. There's ongoing daily meltdowns from Brazilian libshits. High school Portuguese lessons finally paying off. :0010: 🇧🇷
