    https://thecritic.co.uk/britains-borders-are-fraying-at-the-seams/

    It seems that Britain’s borders are fraying at the seams. Far from successfully policing the country’s borders the British state instead appears complicit in the large-scale illegal entry of the country. While the Home Secretary pledges to conduct an urgent investigation into the “uncontrolled landing” in Folkestone, and the Government remains committed to its policy to “smash the gangs” and stop the small boats, its revealed preference suggests it is more interested in the direct opposite. Large numbers of police officers have been deployed across multiple counties on the south coast to ensure illegal immigrants are brought ashore and into Home Office reception centresas quickly as possible. Protesters have started tracking these movements, and the Government has pledged to use the full force of the law against those who disrupt them. Evidently state capacity does exist, even in such constrained times, to encourage illegal entry into the country. While those who engage in violent disorder should expect to be prosecuted, this whole affair is creating a crisis of the rule of law. People who have broken multiple laws by breaking into the country and looked after by the state, at taxpayers’ expense, and activists who try to stop this from happening are punished. With the creation of a new government unit to counter supposed “disinformation” and “false narratives” around the state of Britain today, it seems like the Government is tooling up for a wholesale push against dissenting opinion and dissenting media around the illegal immigration crisis.

    The Government seems to think the best way forward is to disperse illegal immigrants around the country, as wealthier areas need to “do their bit” and share the burden of accommodating men from around the world who have broken into the country in their neighbourhoods. Villages like Piddington are in open revolt, and more may follow. If Andy Burnham wants to stop this crisis he would close the asylum system and automatically detain every illegal entrant to the country before deporting them to their country of origin or a third country, like Rwanda. Nothing else will do. Who knows, it may give him the polling boost he needs to call that much-rumoured early election.

      Just two months into Keir Starmer’s new Labour government, and we’ve gone from debating compulsory teaching of maths until age 18 to actually entertaining the idea — as proposed by the teaching unions…

      @HebrideanHecate I am at a loss to know why the government needs an investigation when it is the government that is collecting them and putting them up in hotels at our expense. They know what's going on. Presumably they want it to happen. If they don't then they only have to stop doing it.

      @HebrideanHecate My pet theory is that it's a UN directive or something similar. The UK is *obliged* to import anyone who rocks up on pain of *exclusion from the global community,* a fine, or some such *legal* sanction. This offers the government a get out clause; we can't turn them away because *laws* or some variation thereof so they can pretend that they are only doing it under pain of sanction rather than admit that they're totally on board with the globalist agenda. I also think there's more than a dash of useful idiots and true believers in the civil service who consider it their moral duty to import as many *oppressed asylum seekers* as possible, especially in the face of the *racist gammon* who don't want them.

      @Sherri_Ingrey @HebrideanHecate Agreed. What interests me is why the politicians keep doing it. There must be something in it for them. We know the lanyard class do it for virtue points.

      @KeepTakingTheSoma @HebrideanHecate no there's NOTHING in the EHRC that says they have to be treated like tourists. They put them in refugee camps in Holland. And Greece and elsewhere not putting them up in hotels or council housing Why do you think they want to go to the UK for their free homes and money? They don't get it anywhere else.

      @Sherri_Ingrey @HebrideanHecate That's what getting into politics is all about.
      When politicians can mandate what can be bought or sold, the first things to be bought and sold are politicians.

      @KeepTakingTheSoma @Sherri_Ingrey @HebrideanHecate

      Thanks a lot for this info that goes a long way to explaining why our govs are so focused on bringing in more migrants than we can possibly handle.

      I had never heard of 'quangos' until now. I guess Canuckistan is full of them too, else why would bonehead in chief be giving his wife $82mill to watch the sea. Why would he be sending so much to Ukraine for laundering?

      But I also think there is likely something more sinister: a fearful and divided population is much easier to control than a unified 'patriotic' one that believes in the rule of law, as well as having some sense of morality. Correct me if I'm wrong but this is sure what I see happening here.
