   I’ve decided to devote the rest of my life to never, ever being cold ever again. Even slightly cold.

   Except for when I am in New York City. I don’t mind being cold only in New York City. I will do anything to be in New York City, including being cold.

   Other than that.. I do not need to be cold. No possible people or experience can ever make up for having to be cold.

     @xgebi I have never had this thought or desire even for a single hour or minute

     I think if I hadn’t left the equator I might not have even thought of having a winter or a season change

     @skinnylatte @xgebi This amuses me because I was also born on the equator, and yet I basically melt above like 78F.

     @Andres4NY @xgebi I just realized most people I know have never experienced a single change of seasons or lived outside of 75-100F

     But I also feel like rainforest equator temp is pleasant (vs I hate hate hate 78F in Europe and the U.S.)

     @johnmark it actually sucks to be hot outside the equator

     I feel like we’ve got the plants and infra for it

     It’s pleasant, not oppressing (for my skin / genetics anyway) but 75F is misery in sf

     @skinnylatte we are... not the same. And that's ok!!! For at least the next 2 weeks, it will be above 85 and sticky as all hell in Mass. You should totally come out and enjoy yourself :)

     @CarstenBoll for one, our bodies are built for the environment we are in. Every physical feature of my body (no hair, nose shape, was built to expel heat immediately)

     I always used to think people were joking when they arrived and starting sweating buckets (coz I don’t sweat.. coz I’m not even really hot even in 100F)

     @skinnylatte I hate being hot but don't mind being cold for a bit. I think people either swing one way or the other in what they prefer.

     Edit: I love biking to work in hard frost, ice in the beard and everything. Dry frost. It gets a little rough under -10 C but only until you get the blood flowing.

     I have generations of adaptations that have made this the best weather for me.

     Every part of my body expels heat immediately. I barely sweat even in 100F coz I’m just not all that hot.

     This also means I cannot retain any heat.

     I could put on clothes for cold weather, but first I’d want to be cold, and want to procure clothes for it. I will not

     @skinnylatte I guess this means NYC is off your list of places to move to, which makes sense if you can only feel at home where it's warm or hot. Winters in NY can be c.o.l.d.
