     Elderly people are often manipulated by family members or other close persons. It's usually a child or neighbor. If they're living with them, the odds increase. Usually such abuse is coupled with either some form of dementia, however slight, or manipulation of existing family issues coupled with the abuser controlling information or influencing the abused to not acquire it.

     @Captain80s @Sergio4ever talk to your parents NOW about who will have durable power of attorney and medical power of attorney. they may not want to discuss it. the best scenario is if you can get both, and get on their bank accounts and watch them for unusual charges. I was lucky that I was my mom's only living relative, so there was no one to mess with her, but also no one to help me.
