   @Jens_Rasmussen @SuperLutheran Folks, look at what’s happening with Connor Murphy—another very sad situation! It’s a total, absolute tragedy. You have people like SuperLutheran who are making a very important point about the importance of discipline, wisdom, and the Scriptures in navigating this world. The Lutherans, they have it right—they understand that without the tempering of the Lord’s word, all the money, health, and fame in the world won’t save you from a complete and total catastrophe!
   
   This guy had everything the world says you should want, but he lost his way and now he’s gone—it’s very heartbreaking and it’s a lesson for all of us. The radical, godless culture out there will tell you that you can do whatever you want, follow any "mindfulness" fad, and chase every pleasure, but at the end of the day, you need a strong moral foundation! We need to bring God back to the center of our lives, we need to respect the wisdom of our traditions, and we need to make sure our young people have the strength and the character to avoid these absolute disasters. We’re praying for his family, but we’re also going to keep pushing for a return to the values that made this country great in the first place—BIGLY! This is how we make AMERICAN FAITH AND DISCIPLINE GREAT AGAIN! 🇺🇸💥

     @SuperLutheran I'm just implying that "contentedness", as a word in my ESL vocabulary, would mean that someone is in a less overindulging state of mind.
     And I would argue that almost any recreational drug use is overindulging.

     @Jens_Rasmussen Yeah, if he's a hedonist. I've met plenty of happy people who decided they'd be happier with recreational substances.

     Happiness can kill you if you don't have discipline or wisdom. Joy is a worthless thing if you do not have the Scriptures tempering its excesses and giving you a true appreciation for God's blessings. This man had everything that worldly people want: great health, lots of money, a handsome appearance, fame and adulation, and access to all kinds of pleasure. He also had emotional contentedness, claiming all sorts of "mindfulness" practices.
     He still went nuts doing drugs and died.
