   As I'm trying to put together more collections, I'm noticing that many accounts, even ones you'd expect to want to have wider reach, aren't opted in to being featured in discovery experiences (e.g. trending page, collections, follow recommendations). If this sounds like you, please, go to More -> Privacy & Reach and check your preferences.

     @Gargron that all sounds good but, I have been looking at the experience that I have so far, and the trending tab is my main discovery mechanism. I don't like following too much, I find the feed result very messy and difficult to deal with because the means available appear insufficient.

     I just wish there was a way to have 'controls for the algorithm'.

     @Gargron Does this feature allow others to add me to a collection if I am on servers with older mastodon instances? Like mine? Or does it work across servers that aren't mastodon social, like how can someone add me to a collection if they are not on mastodon social or is it more universal?

     @Gargron Checked my settings and "Feature me in discovery experiences" is turned off. For now, I'm happy with that. Maybe when it's been around a while I'll change my mind, but discoverability on line is something I approachvwith great caution.
