   There is no reason that Loops couldn't become a multi protocol platform, with ActivityPub, ATProto and Nostr.

   Admins could pick and choose what protocols they want to enable, allowing for a much bigger community network.

   Same goes for Pixelfed 😉

     @wraptile well, if we abstract this into a reusable library, we would only have one codebase to worry about, allowing not only Pixelfed and Loops to leverage this, but any other Laravel based project, including @stux new FediBook project!

     @dansup one thing to contemplate is that ATproto is fundamentally designed to favor those with lots of resources because you cannot be fully independent without hosting some very expensive components. Supporting a protocol like that could have negative consequences down the line.
