@Paultron @grips the anglo-saxon finds purpose only through sacrificing their time and energy. they think that they only have dignity when perishing for the secular world. yet they also believe that their faith alone is sufficient for salvation. they would rather work 60 hour weeks at the ball crushing factory so they can buy more petty bullshit, as opposed to working a more reasonable amount in direct service of others and charity. the catholic work-life balance provides a more fulfilling relationship between oneself, others, and God. the protestant distracts themself with busy work (“idle hands are the devil’s playthings”) yet they fail to realize that God accepts us whether or not we work at all for society and cares only that we love him and love others through our work.
