I fucking hate the modern medical system. The browner it gets, the worse it will get. If you think some nigger lady is going to care for a White boy, you're delusional. -

When it comes to medical practice, as well as other administrators, we're damn near living in the movie Brazil. Rules without reason, paper that no one looks at. Nothing gets done. The system decaying. -

And I think this is an issue the video misses, the "check the box" nature of modern medicine. First A (norco), if not, then B (Tylenol), then C....
When all medical practice becomes a branching tree, care gets delayed, sometimes by months or years. The tree can be huge.
And the reason for this isn't a drug seeking patient, it's because the system is stocked with retards who are to dumb to exercise real medical discretion. -

You can't build a parallel system. The entire medical establishment from education, to licensing, to prescriptions and permitted treatments is too deeply ingrained with the state, they are also the experts to courts regarding all things medical as well. Anyone who disagrees will get their license yanked etc and lose their expert status. Thus, any attempt to create parallel system will be crushed. -

The only straw that I can see breaking that camel is to eliminate the prescription system as we know it. Their will still have to be regulation of pharmacies, but primarily to assure only they can resell to stop hoarding. Once doctors lose control of the gate, they won't be able to keep much else. -

The biggest and most draconian. Reagan signed "Stark" into law in the 80s. It regulates anyone who receives Medicare dollars. It is the main cause of the death of the private practitioner and the driver behind HMO and medical groups and check the box medicine (malpractice drives the latter as well, but that's a snake eating it's own tail Overton'd by stark).
Then there's reimbursement as well and meeting those regs, and efficiency dictates creating systems that satisfy the largest payor / biggest threat.
Tl;dr the entire system is largely designed around Medicare -

It's alright. It's just bullshit when it costs as much as my mortgage or office rent.
The sad part is that most employees don't realize how much they lose due to medical insurance. Those costs are hidden to the W-2er and the government likes it that way. If they realized they could demand a shit ton more income for the same bennies if they attacked the political / medical class, they'd have pitchforks by now.
This is one reason zoomers can't afford houses. -

Not to mention the tax you have to pay as a business owner just for paying the employee. Last I looked it was like an additional 10% or osmething of their wages. Literal employment tax just for employing them.
w2 wagies have no concept of how much it costs to hire them. You may pay $20/hr but the total out of pocket cost for the business owner is like 25-30% additional.
So you pay an employee 1000/week or whatever, it costs you like 1300 per week.
It's insanity
Also RIP hump if you're hiring people in CA - i'd imagine they have some of the worst laws/additional fees for having employees -

@Dudebro @Humpleupagus @PNS I honestly don't see how it could be fixed without gutting the whole system.
There is no way in hell making it "government run" is a good idea. At least until the costs of insurance go WAY down. If they make it gov run, all thats going to happen is pharma companies are gonna pump them numbers with medicine costs.
I'd never vote for "health care for everyone" simply because i think the insurance providers/pharma companies will just use that as a way to strip mine tax dollars for pills.
I'd like to see a local doctor/subscription model. Like you pay the office $250/month or whatever you would pay insurance but direct to a doctor. Then when you have procedures, you pay an hourly rate for surgery (like $300/hr or whatever) and then whatever other costs, and the doctor would provide the care for much cheaper because they aren't getting fucked by insurance. -

And labor law turns hierarchy on its head and let's employees run employers via collateral threats in many cases. Businesses can't operate under those conditions. -

That's the certification problem. We no longer promote those who live it. Just those who are certified. Certification, if we are to have it, should require demonstrating health with your body if you're a nurse. -
