There is no way in hell making it "government run" is a good idea. At least until the costs of insurance go WAY down. If they make it gov run, all thats going to happen is pharma companies are gonna pump them numbers with medicine costs.
I'd never vote for "health care for everyone" simply because i think the insurance providers/pharma companies will just use that as a way to strip mine tax dollars for pills.
I'd like to see a local doctor/subscription model. Like you pay the office $250/month or whatever you would pay insurance but direct to a doctor. Then when you have procedures, you pay an hourly rate for surgery (like $300/hr or whatever) and then whatever other costs, and the doctor would provide the care for much cheaper because they aren't getting fucked by insurance.
