@Immahnoob@Spooke Search engines aren't helping me. I can't find any old articles... I remember this very vaguely, but several years ago there was an incident/controversy involving anime and manga magazines: their articles had to undergo an official review by a qualified editor, or else they would be sued. That's all I remember...
@Immahnoob@Ota1504 but real talk though I don't know about you guys but I usually reference something when I don't want to rewatch or reread something just to confirm if what I recall was right when I'm talking to someone about the series.
The fact that they killed him for ad revenue that probably at best offsets the cost of hosting the website is so sad.
I understand cracking down on raw providers but LOL just for paying for web hosting.
@Ota1504@Immahnoob I onno. Maybe I'm crazy but I usually look for a summary or something if a series ends up being 10+ books long. :Kekw: I just think they're trying to attack muh anime pirates without thinking about the consequences of destroying discussion. I can't believe 2hu will grow exponentially because of this since now 2hu will be one of the safe harbours for discussion.
@Spooke@Ota1504 He monetized the site where he posted these "heavy-spoiler articles", but I still don't see the problem. We're talking someone summarizing fucking episodes in writing. :awoo_what:
@Spooke@Ota1504 If writing an article is "copyright infringement", they can jail you for even talking about it verbally, since that could be a "theatrical adaptation".
@Ota1504 isn't that just going to kill discussion about properties they own. :Kekw: since we don't know what kind of line they plan on drawing. I can't believe we're all just going to discuss chinese/korean media because japanese media is hostile to discuss about.
