   I picked a couple of my Dune paperbacks off the shelf to look for something that suddenly popped into my head.

   Blimey they're all brown and dry and crinkly and ready to fall apart ffs!

   (Yes mate, that's because they're nearly 30 years old and the 1990s wasn't a couple of years ago.)

     @botvolution I recently had that same reaction recently, though for me, it was a copy of Starship Troopers I got in '97. Damn I'm starting to feel old.

     Bought from a second hand bookshop in the early 90s, and it was already ~25 years old then.
