Yall try any of the Kaizo pokemon games yet? Hella fun

Good luck, it's not the easiest game but they did at least try to make it reasonable and it feels rewarding when you finally headbutt through a new wall. Until end game anyway, that's when you need to powerlevel your 'tism if you want to 100% it.

Well, good to know

So, should i give Thieft to a pokemon early on to steal items from chests and jews?
-

Yeh and pay day's very useful early on too, definitely steal from jews where possible (it triggers a bonus event after gym 8 where they try to get revenge btw). Besides leftovers, and the occasional annoying item on a hard fight, I mostly just stole in the dark tunnel for gems. You can max out your cash fairly quickly that way and abuse all the shit in the grass town for a decent power jump.

Plus, i would try to do some wonder trades hoping for a Singlets or Dubious.

There are so many wondertrades dude, I skimmed the list and you can get some decent items too. IIRC some can have shit like leftovers, but you can steal 6 of them pretty early game anyway (and I had shit luck with my trades).

Half of 'em do, and it's the last time you'd need to grind for that nature when you find the ones you like using. It definitely helped save a lot of time and braincells lol, no save scumming away shit natures from uniques (at least the ones you fight/catch).

Don't worry too much about the EV training btw, just getting enough speed to dish out damage before dying is probably enough until you can get to the point of doping them up instead. You'll be swapping out most of the early game critters for most of the game, so they don't have to be even close to perfect (excluding any hidden grotto gems, some of those fuckers can turn hard fights into cakewalks).

Damn, the UFOs have Synchronize?
Well, i should have learned later. I would do the same with nature and grind speed by killing chickens

Well then, i'll give Arabomb a chance. I'll name him Khamenei
-

I had the easiest time with him, just try and keep a flexible team (at least until legendaries/pseudo legendaries) and catch a variety. The only ones that stayed in my team for long before that were lucky hidden grotto finds and shinies.
EDIT: Oh and get Ayylamos with the natures you like using, it makes the nature grind so much fucking quicker. I just did Sp Att for Att and Att for Sp Att, but you might prefer speed/tankiness I just prefer grinding speed EVs then sweeping the tough fights with a team of hard counters. Also near the ghost tower grab a sprucifix with wonder guard asap because it's OP as fuck when it works.

Eh, i might give it another chance and grind like a madman. I will wonder what my final team will have to be but eh, whatever.
Which starter should i go with?
-

Don't grind too hard, it makes it easy to catch weakfags upto ~5 to 10 above the next badge but after that it's barely any improvement for the effort.
I preferred arabomb personally, most of the decent fire types are significantly later in. https://pokemon-clover.fandom.com/wiki/Farfigtron this one was the first ok one on the only run I didn't go with the sandnigger pokemon (he costs a fuckload and save scumming a decent nature took ages, but 4th gym is after you get a way to get cash a lot quicker by stealing gems from mimics).

Also, the problem with Furnazi and Mozzamel is that both of them are naturally slow as shit. I think i should aim with all pokemon to at least have a base speed of 60 or 80 because damn if it looks like a lot of what i pick is just slow as dirt
-

I caught both but used neither for very long IIRC, I might've swapped 'em in for the 420 gym.
-

Yeah I think so, but you should have pay day by when you can buy stones and I think one drops earlier than that. Also keep an eye out in the forest for the hidden grotto, that lightning mosquito fucker was OP as fuck on one of my runs (it gets levitate which nullifies it's main x4 weakness).

> i would need a solid water type that i don't know.
Man cave, off the town after starter, for a semdrop. It's not the strongest water type but it's sure as fuck tanky.
> In my experience, it seems like every single pokemon i pick is slower than whatever i'm fighting no matter what
That's down to training or rather where you're training, first hostile area gives speed EVs.

So should i just grind speed for 15 levels in the first route?
Also, doesn't Semrust evolve into Semdemen after a water stone?
-

Arabomb's pretty solid, the other two are easier to replace fairly early on (before the first difficulty spike). Semdemen for the condom and later on sprucifix can come in clutch over the tanky farting plant.

tbh i was thinking about building my team with the farting plant, Ebolable, Furnazi or Mozzamel (lately Kuklan looks like the better option), Galvalik, the edgy cat and i would need a solid water type that i don't know.
In my experience, it seems like every single pokemon i pick is slower than whatever i'm fighting no matter what

>Clover is a ROM hack.
>Starters include a Pokémon with a tree up its ass, an A-rab, and a used condom.
Was there a correct choice?

I'm playing Pokemon Clover and fucking hell if i regret using a Furnazi.

What did you pick that made you post this?
-

Nah I've kinda hated everything after gen wun except for clover, and lack the competition tier autism for most of the other roms. I think I played uranium for a bit, that seemed pretty neat but I didn't get very far.

They blue kaizo. Its gen one as intended but its hard mode. All enemies have max iv and ev's. All enemy mons have competitive move sets. Gym leaders are usually 5-10 levels higher then you and every mon has a move to counter its weaknesses
-

Overworld puzzles have also had difficulty increased. Kaizo series of games (not limited to just pokemon) pushes game mechanics to the absolute limit

Im playing crystal kaizo right now and I already have level 40 mons by the the time I got the 4th gym badge. Eevee is still low level because im raising its happiness to get umbreon to counter the league champions mewtwo

ALL MY NIGGAS HATE TIMMY
-
Embed this notice
See that just sounds needlessly painful to me, might as well just do a self imposed challenge run. Gym leaders having max IV and/or EV, sure whatever they're meant to be hard but everyone except you? Why? If Timmy the bug catcher is innately better than you at training then maybe it's time to give up and get a desk job.

> league champions mewtwo
Yeah fuck that, dude
-

Its max iv/ev so ita fatser then you no matter what. I used a electrode in blue kaizo because electrode has the highest base speed in gen 1 but max iv mewtwo is still fatser then you.
Emerald kaizo took me a week to beat the champion. He had mewtwo, deoxys and jirachi
-
Embed this notice
Yeah pretty much. Emerald kaizo is the flagship of hard pokemon rom hacks. Its even worse because Gen three added natures that make it even more difficult. Plus slow but hard hitting mons like snorlax usually have choice scarf or quick claw to outspeed you

Kaizo killed pokemon for me. I literally cant play vanilla anymore because its too easy

So you have zero choice but to minmax everything? Maybe in my teens I would've done it through sheer spite but I got shit to do now, I'm not sinking weeks into a single boss fight.
