     @brokenshakles Netanyahu dead would improve the situation considerably from the US POV and I don't see Bessant as a major war shill so he would have no reason to freak out over it.
     
     Whereas if Iran nukes Israel that's nuclear war. And of course there's also a small chance of a smuggled Iranian nuke taking out the core jew nest itself - Washington D.C.!

     @judgedread That would make more sense, as it seriously frustrates using a first strike nuclear option. It's easy to contemplate shooting someone until they pull out their own gun.

     People think Bessant was freaking out over Netanyahu being dead, but really, why would that phase him? It's not like him and Bibi are besties. What if the hour long briefing was about Iran already having nuclear weapons?
