     @VirginCrusader @Hoss ok so there are basically two different kinds of gasoline, not referring to octane. there's' the regular gasoline you get at speedway and 7/11 and other lower end stations. then there's the higher end or "top-tier detergent gasoline" that's sold at places like shell, bp, and sunoco. there will usually be a sticker on the pump that denotes this. so most of the time, you're fine with using the lower end (not top tier) gasoline but every so often you should get a full tank of top tier because it does a better job of cleaning out your injectors and will just in general improve your maintenance in the long run. aside from that, gas stations trying to upsell you on octane is all bullshit. unless your engine specifically says that it needs 91 octane (for a higher compression ratio), don't waste your money because it will do nothing for your engine or fuel system.
     
     now as for marathon, they're kind of tricky because they want to be a cheap go-to station but they also want people to think their fuel is good. so what they do i just mix in a batch of stp into their gasoline blend. stp is a fuel additive that you can buy by itself at various auto supply stores and it does in general do its job of improving the quality of gasoline and protecting your fuel line. but it technically is not classified as a top tier detergent (i dont know the details, theres a lot of factors that go into the classification process). so marathon is in this weird position where they have decent gas but you can also essentially make their blend yourself by just putting the additive in yourself, whereas shell, sunoco, etc have their own lock and key special blends that cannot be replicated by the average consumer.

     3 was peak. Reach was pretty good but inferior because cawwadoody-esque loadouts don't belong in a Halo game.

     @creamqueen @Hoss I liked the first 3 halo games.
     
     Halo CE was revolutionary for how it handled controls on a console shooter but it had flaws. Repetitive level design after 343 guilty spark the levels were copy pasted levels from the early campaign ( two betarayls, keys , the maw ) The weapon sandbox was horribly balanced and the only real viable weapons were the plasma pistol , sniper rifle, rockets, shotgun, and magnum.
     
     Silent Catographer was the best level in the game and it's the level in the demo.
     
     Halo 2 was fundamentally a broken/rushed game though
     
     Halo 3 while a fun game had no way to live up the the hype and marketing it had. If you were alive in 2007 you weren't escaping it it was literally everywhere. The game itself was very polished but the multiplayer itself was slow paced compared to Halo 2 and instead tried to force using items to make the game more strategic and a lot of halo 2 players hated it.
     
     After 3 I think the series went downhill Bungie was adding bloom and gimimcks and 343i just made the brand enshittified in general.

     @Hoss @creamqueen To be fair reach was shit until the title update when they balanced things out a bit. I wasn't a huge fan of the credit system either for progression back then either it made the game feel unnecessarily grindy. I have no real ground though since I did grind MCC for max rank 662 million exp.

     @Hoss @creamqueen host advantage in P2P servers. My internet sucked and never got host. I really think at this point Microsoft should just remove the paywall for online when PC does it free anyways and they offer it free on their pc games.
