   more importantly, because it demands you to generate your identity keys on leaky, insecure devices. even if it allows you to use the service on other computers, even secure ones, your keys are already compromised by then

     @debacle It is especially meant as a decentralized WhatsApp or Signal alternative. In the case Signal cannot be trusted anymore, because of their centralized and US nature.

     I'm not sure, if a poll makes much sense, because it depends on preferences. The feature sets are different, the clients are different etc.

     My own use cases are much better fulfilled by #Jabber/#XMPP, but others might prefer Delta or Matrix or Briar or Jami…
