     @TylerAbeoJordan Yes, whatever I already mentioned a couple times before over the span of 3 days: set up private communities on the darknet, XMPP, IRC, Mumble, BBS, PGP encrypted emails, and/or Newsgroups.
     
     If it really needs to be Twitter-style and Fediverse, there's still Diaspora that can be utilized, which is almost entirely separate from ActivityPub.

     @TylerAbeoJordan That's not going to be enough to them, they'll demand it'll be enforced on to everybody in the long run.
     
     I personally like the way 076 SNS is running; hands off approach with almost no rules, this alone is like gatekeeping on autopilot.
     And this instance proves that it just works.

     Further along that thought, as there are always going to be complainers, perhaps there is a way to introduce "instance blocklists" that individual users can simply subscribe to (or not) when they join.

     Then no reason for anyone to whine about fascist instances or whatever as they can simply block them on their own.

     The fedi should support independence, not dependencies on authority.
