   @thomasfuchs Sigh. Yeah. 100%. You know what else Reagan canceled? All attempts to educate the US on the metric system. In the late 70's we started to have signs on the interstate highways that gave distances in km as well as miles.

     Hmmm, I clearly remember I95 in Maine having kilometers on the signs ("Next Exit 6 miles (10 km)") but that was long enough ago that they may have changed them since. (Idk where you are, Thomas, but I'm pretty sure it's not Maine.) I thought it was for the convenience of visiting Canadians, but I guess we don't have those anymore either...
