     Oh I full agree, I imagine they still have some legal protections against that kind of intrusion and theft and fatness. I'd get out of there asap.

     Room rentals are hard. I've dealt with a handful in my time. The fact "common" areas are often actually used for living, and often in common with he owner, is just asking for trouble. Plus, her shape should have been a big clue at the time of renting.

     I would never advise my client to go into a room renter's room except for emergency or on notice for a legitimate cause.
