     @noondlyt @mcnado Agree totally, but if they decide that their self-preservation aligns with my and our mutual preservation... I'll still take that. An armed suspicious peace is still not-war.

     They are republicans and supported taking away funding for healthcare and school lunches.

     It's still self-preservation that is making them act now.

     It’s not that a bunch of staunch Republicans saw a man get murdered by ICE and said “My god, that is the line!”. They were fine with every other instance. It is that a pile of Republicans have been looking for a way to get away from the Trump party, and this finally gave them social cover to back out. Glad they are doing it. Still don’t trust ‘em.
