Fun fact: the DDR had .dd as a ccTLD (in theory) until something more important than the Internet happened in 1989.The ISO 3166-1 code "DD" was withdrawn in 1990.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/.ddThe only .dd domain that I knew of was for Friedrich Schiller University Jena, but apparently TU Dresden also had one. And maybe also Zeiss (Jena).
Every .dd domain was renamed to the equivalent .de domain.
