It's been zero days since I lost time on a GH repo before realizing 'oh wait, this is slop, that's why none of this makes any sense' after 15 minutes.

Is there some nice community list/plugin that I could use to give me a big red border around repository pages of vibe coded garbeoleum?

I know about open-slopware, but that's not what I'm looking for - I want a baseline filter for obvious useless slop, not one where well established projects might fall into just because someone used an LLM once.

@q3k i would be in favor of bootstrapping some web-of-trust style infrastructure, not even for slop specifically but in general for "does developer X recommend project Y?"

@q3k i can see this working in a "you vouch for those you invite" configuration

@whitequark I'm not convinced this wouldn't be immediately abused. But I'm intrigued.

@petterroea @q3k i think an important difference that needs to be made is that shinigami eyes focused on _people_ (well, accounts, which are a proxy for people) and this would be about _projects_. i think focusing on people is a dead end in this context

@petterroea @q3k (all other concerns aside, i think shinigami eyes eventually ended up just a bludgeon for transphobia, and you'd want to avoid that)

@whitequark @q3k so like the shinigami eyes extension but for slopware?
