   @Pepijn @juliette How to buy stuff: Look up spare parts for stuff (e.g. kettles) on AliExpress. Find out which ones have loads of parts available from many sellers for cheap.

   Now find out which make & model stuff they're for and then buy that model.

   Goes for anything ranging from beard trimmer to excavator.

     Three years ago I bought @juliette an electric kettle for her birthday (because romance is not dead).

     Looking for a stainless tank, hidden heating element, and temperature settings, I found the Krups KE07. Bit expensive, but it'll last decades. Right? Button 1 broke after a year. Button 2 today..
