@Sovereign@nicecrew.digital If Putins goes to war with France Nato then Russia federation will shatter before the first nuke is even fired, Because most nukes from russia cannot even leave the ground
@cjd@xaetacore Libertarianism is paved with good intentions but shortsightedness. It is akin to anarchism or other "your not my dad" philosophies. It is how the must vile tribes grab a hold of political power because people fall under the hypnosis of "non-aggression principle". It just means people who will leverage violence as a political power will and it is usually your enemy.
The reason I asked you this is because most "all sides are wrong" people aren't really realpolitik types, they are more about keeping their little estate, because they are usually petit-bourgeoisie members. By focusing on their little seat on the boat, the entire ship sinks.
I appreciated the "only militia" "no standing army" founding principle of the USA for example, but look what we have now; world kike police. That is exactly what happens. Singapore is not at all libertarian. They are pretty authoritarian. But maybe you are specifically referring to military here.
@cjd@xaetacore I wasn't calling you that, I was asking you what you believe in and you have still not answered. People have a construct that drives and motivates them to believe what they believe. Are you just politically agnostic?
You could say I'm a realist, I believe in things that work.
I appreciate libertarianism because it is less subject to corruption, but it has massive loopholes like the fact that you can't raise an army to prevent the next guy from kicking your ass.
But the problem with raising an army, is once you do so, you need to collect taxes and that becomes a magnet for grifters... No easy solutions.
Countries like Singapore, Switzerland, UAE are *trying*, but it's a hard problem.
@cjd@xaetacore A lot of places with different economic systems aren't a shit hole. Some places are capitalist and are doing well, some others are capitalists and are shitholes. Same with communism. The reasons for that aren't usually solely ideology.
Democracy is a good example of something that does NOT reliably make a place not-a-shithole, and it only seems to outperform 23rd generation inbred royal families that are completely captive to a foreign power because they can't keep it in their pants on Epstein island.
@Sovereign@xaetacore@cjd "Libertarianism" doesn't mean anything, if you haven't already go read some Hans-Hermann Hoppe on ancap you will probably agree with more than you would think. hoppe-against-democracy.jpg
@dcc@xaetacore@Sovereign@cjd Scandinavian welfare states worked perfectly fine the many years before being overwhelmed by massive immigration. Even with welfare states surprisingly, most people, vast majority of Scandinavians prefer to work
The problem with Libertarianism is it's like True Communism, it never existed, never will exist, can't possibly exist.
Every country in the world has some complex set of rules and freedoms, and making minor changes to those is the difference between Pretty Nice Place, and total dystopia.
I'm increasingly of the opinion that countries should just be governed by CEO & board of directors (elected by land owners) - and people should be free to move to whichever country will accept them. Let the well run countries and the well behaved citizens self-sort.
@Jonny@dcc@xaetacore@cjd In a ideal world it would work. On paper is does too, but reality shows that libertarianism and anarchy both fail. I don't make the rules.
