He ticks the right boxes, says whatever is required of him, and will move seamlessly from MP to a cushy consultancy non-job in an alphabet agency such as the WEF, WHO, EU or UN with a gong to his name. Op eds will gush the usual nonsense about his being an elder statesman.
     That's on my bingo card for another year, probably about 2030.
