   I certainly hope the EU can put the same sanctions on the US for attacking Venezuela as they did on Russia for attacking Ukraine. This is indefensible.

More like it will be how to form an alliance - "in the name of to stop a dictator or war on drugs" - definitely not for own corporations to have a chance of getting even a tiny piece of the pie afterwards...

     @Gargron This is Trump playing big-boy dictator. He thinks this makes him look strong to his daddy, Putin, but he just looks pathetic and he’s only ultimately helping China. The freefall of America is in full swing now. Former allies will be trampling each other to form tighter relationships with China. Who knew making America great would be such a boon for China??      @Gargron Sanctions do not achieve desired results.

     Having said that, the day the EU becomes strong enough to do this is the day they will have achieved real freedom and independence. The current EU leaders won't do this, because they are lapdogs for America. EU may vocally complain about US action, but they still ultimately serve US interests.

I’m not saying there shouldn’t be consequences for US for what they did.      Actually I was wondering about the impact this intervention may have on the war in Ukraine, if it may weaken Russia.
