     The US is an empire. Venezuela is a rogue province run by an enemy power. This has nothing to do with "safety" - which no war has anything to do with.

     Also, I hope that the Venezuelans get fucked hard - because fuck those brown demons.

     I am just sad that it isn't Mexico - but hope they get hit next.

     The oil prosperity only ended due to "sanctions" - not due to diverting some of the spoils to making life decent for the majority.

     Not just "run by" - "filled with" - which is the core-problem. I have no ill will towards them (most earnestly "mean well") but, a "civilization project" of them is freaking hopeless. It's sad. It's why they have to leave our homelands.

     If I thought those lands could be turned into something decent without exterminating billions of people, I might support a colonial project - AND, if it actually benefited regular White folks (never has, historically). This is the primary reason for my "make them nature preserve habitats" position. Then, we continue doing White things, and reach for the stars.

And, clearly, Trump has no intention of doing the one thing which would get them gone - felony-busting their employers, so they all get fired and leave. Combined with the Treason-Visas, this ensures the "threat" of having to pay Americans a decent wage is not a likely-risk, in the near-term.

     And, yes, it can be more than one reason. I would say the Venezuela bit is to get hold of the oil, and to satisfy the burning hate of the Cuban "latino plantation" crew, like Marco Rubio and Ted Cruz.

     Those guys are desperate to bring back the "good 'ol days," when 40% of Venezuelans were "extreme poverty" homeless and hungry, and didn't know how to read. National leaders like Chavez and Gadaffi, who use oil revenue to help their people, make them ANGRY. That's THEIR money, buried in the ground, after all.

     and as for the geopolitical reasons they are doing this attack - there are a ton of competing plausible reasons from fucking with Cuba, fucking with the intelligence agencies, fucking with City of London, fucking with China, needing oil so we can fuck with Canada, etc.

     From what little I know about Venezuela 1970-1990, the country suffered Dutch Disease from it oil exports and because there was no strong secondary industries they crashed out and had a soviet backed color revolution.

     Given that the natives of Venezuela are quite dumb and lazy, unless there was a strong low skill manufacturing or extraction economy - yeah, they are going to be in poverty. They were not a direct American vassal so weren't getting direct stabilization and the oil shock collapsed the only economy they had.

     And it also turns out seizing infrastructure from other countries is a great way to get put on a decades long shit list from them.

When the West would try a coup, etc, he would increase the nation's cut of the oil proceeds. Under Maduro, the full "sanctions" bit went into high-gear, because the bus-driver didn't have Chavez's "aura" / popularity.

     The oil companies could have kept using their in-place infrastructure, and continued making money - just as they could have in Iran under Mossadegh in Iran (who only wanted the same 50% cut the Saudis got). But, they refused to recognize that the stuff they were taking out of the ground was not put their by their grandfathers as their personal savings.

     Much as we need to trash laws which allow mass-immigration, faggot-marriage, etc - put in place by traitors - nations, including our own, should absolutely nationalize the natural-wealth no one made/earned, and distribute the royalties from its sale to the folk. Of course, those getting the resources for pennies-on-the-dollar as-is, by paying off politicians, are going to call that "communism" - but screw them.

     Ideally, the infrastructure would be privately developed / operated for-profit - preferably using a competitive-bidding system. I am open to suggestions how to prevent corruption in that process, so it is NOT like the corrupt USA-MIC's system.
