    @gabek @Blort You can ask this site to remove the token page.

    Even if it exists on some blockchain, no one is going to find it without a ranking site.

      @Blort It's literally called "Owncast", so that's why it bugs me so much. https://coinranking.com/coin/aO3DQDnZ3mdM+owncastgithubcomowncastowncast-owncast

      Ah, sorry. I misread your post. I thought you were saying they had a link to you on their webpage, thus, you knew the domain.

      If it's an anonymous token linking to you, at least put up a warning on the page of your site they link to. They're linking to you to try and piggyback on the trust for your project. If your site has something that destroys people's trust in their coin, they won't want that association any more.

      You can also look up the name of the coin to try and find who is associated, especially if they have a public facing site, or incorporation.

      Out of interest, what is the name of this coin? Is it traded on Coinbase or other similar exchanges?

      I'm no expert, but these seem like the first steps.

      @Blort I think everything on the blockchain is anonymous, so I don't think I can just ask it for a domain of the person who created the token.

      @gabek

      If they have a domain, then they have a registrar and a public contact for abuse. If you can show the registrar they're using your trademark without permission, the registrar will need to take the domain down. That won't take down their crypto coin, but it will remove any reference to you and the veneer of respectability and trust from their website.

      @Blort I wish it were that easy. I have no idea who to send it to or if it's even possible. I know nothing about crypto bullshit and if this kind of thing can be tracked down or not. Or if once it's done, there's no going back because of the bullshit blockchain. I was hoping somebody knew how this stuff worked.

      Sounds like it's time for a cease and desist letter from your local paralegal. At the very least, you can contact the abuse email for their web domain.

      Does anybody know if there's any precedent of getting some kind of crypto token removed (I don't know what that would even mean, since it's blockchain bullshit) due to trademark infringement? Somebody created an "Owncast" token and has our URL in its description. Luckily, "Owncast" is a registered trademark, but I don't know how crypto bullshit works. I'm aware there might be nothing I can do, but I figured it's a shot so people don't think the Owncast project is trying to do crypto bullshit.
