      @EdBoatConnoisseur Yes.

      Generally it looks like;
      Pause
      ———
      Break

      as by default it's Pause, while C-Pause enters Break.

      Maybe C-Pause would be best mapped to ultrakill for a higher kill level than C-c.

      @Zergling_man Some old games bind pause to pause, but Esc is a more popular pause key.

      Pause can be bound to pause in stk, but it can't be used to toggle out of pause like esc can.

      @Suiseiseki That's a good point, I should bind a bunch of shit to it.
      Although I have a feeling some old games did.

      @phnt I don't need useless BIOS text output - the GNU GRUB OS starts every time.

      @Suiseiseki Your GNU/Booted system doesn't allow pausing BIOS text output with it? Sucks to you. You should use a real BIOS like real men do.

      @phnt "LILO" makes it difficult to check the size, but it seems it's larger than both despite not even offering a menu.

      >a pseudo-graphical menu selection
      GRUB offers a full graphical menu selection.

      GRUB1 even offered the ability to play animations on the boot screen; https://en.opensuse.org/SDB:Animated_penguin_GRUB_splash_screen

      @Suiseiseki Ok, then LILO. If BIOS text output is bloat, a pseudo-graphical menu selection is also bloat. Therefore both syslinux and grub are bloat.
