     @elftummy Middle class is an evolving definition. If you make half this amount +25%, you can afford most things and build savings and wealth pretty easily.

     @BowsacNoodle Yes I know. As I mentioned it's double the amount for "basic necessities" from an MIT study
     The reason they doubled it was because they included things like sports for the kids, vacations, and savings. These are things that the middle class used to have on a single I come working 32 hours per week

     This is "middle class" in each state
     They came to these numbers by taking basic cost of living (from a recent mit study) and doubling it to cover wants & savings
