   I'm still in my fluffy robe & sitting with my cuppa coffee but I need to start moving...need to buy flour, apples, cream, cognac (this is for the boozy pumpkin pie, recipe link below) and make pie crust. I heard it's freezing outside....

   This is the recipe I use for pumpkin pie:

   It makes two 9' pies, so I halve the amount of everything. It's boozy & velvety?

     @YoWatShiinaEsq That sounds lovely! I just dropped the pups off for a spa day / grooming, and I'm having a peaceful lunch in my cozy apartment.

     I have some errands to run later and then I'm getting dressed up in spooky stuff and attending a production of The Addams Family tonight.

     It's going to be a fun day.

     @jeshi Yesss!!!! I always tweak recipes--in this case I like pre-cooking the pumpkin filling so it caramelizes a little bit. It also makes the filling extra velvety.

     @YoWatShiinaEsq nice touch! Should really bring out the sugars in the pumpkin filling more that way. I love all the ways we can modify and experiment with food.
