   Reethan van cryberg has gotten so desperate for any audience growth that he is now linking to piracy sites that host his comics, hoping that ANYONE will read them and start backing him.
   
   For the past several years, his new comicsgate-backed Cyberfrog books weren't even being pirated because no one wanted to read them. Even that shitty Isom book (which ethan initially supported) was eventually uploaded to piracy sites because of the constant public meltdowns that eric july was having over it (and I mean BEFORE the dick masterson involvement, for all the tourists out there who only get information from low IQ sources like kiwifarms or kino casino) and the constant public meltdown that his fellow corporate monetized product fake geek employees at theblaze were having over it (something that kiwifarms and kino casino are actively covering up).
   
   Now that the comicsgate cyberfrog books are available, anyone can read and see how shitty and gay (literally gay, ethan van sciver is a closeted homosexual, which is obvious just from a casual skim of the dialogue in his comics) his comics are.
   
   This is the shit that your average monetized antiwoke youtuber heavily promoted. I would've scanned and uploaded these to the piracy sites myself if I bothered to waste a single cent on this dogshit. The only time I ever backed anything from comicsgate, I ended up getting ethan to have a desperate PR spiral about it before (possibly after law enforcement investigation) he very quickly canceled the campaign and offered everyone a refund (I still never got my refund).

     @thomasroiloup good point, it's probably accurate to say I mean general "anti-woke" comics. the inexperience is a trap a lot of indie comics fall into, especially the superhero type, because it's become mainstream enough to breed amateurism. it's like pretentious student films.
     I'd like to review Kamen America properly in the future but I don't know, it didn't feel like it was going anywhere as a story. is that still ongoing?

     @thomasroiloup youtuber/celebrity comics are always so lame. cr1tikal's comic Godslap didn't go anywhere, Kamen America has cute designs but is so preachy it hurts, and this is just a dude putting his rants into a comic book. people are so enamored by the idea of comic books but it always seems clear that they don't understand it beyond decent art and text bubbles. idk who this Sciver guy is but I will say I dig this art, it seems he's a professional, it's too bad the dialogue is absolute coal (first page is his work from 1996 and the second page is from his new series, he wrote and drew both)

     I dont have any idea if comicsgate had any effect on anything at all, ever
     it sure seems like comicsgate has been a poison pill for the right wing in general and indie comics in particular, but I don't know of many people who have ever even heard of comicsgate
     the general consensus even in places that should be in the know is usually "there's a comicsgate?" and that question mark needs to be fifty stories tall because holy shit comicsgate just doesnt even exist

     @SIC_Guy All the rest of "antiwoke" youtube knew and covered this up: ethan van sciver got the writer of Kamen America fired off another book back in 2018. This wasn't secret or behind the scenes, everyone knew it, every youtuber you can possibly think of that was even tangentially related to promoting or supporting comicsgate knew it. No one else cared because ethan was popular and youtube and the Kamen America guys weren't/aren't.
